I am a disabled 55 yr old woman who needs to DO something to feel of any value to society. I have found a perfect solution. I want to start up a small business making SOY only candles. They are eco friendly, clean burning and smell wonderful when scented.
Of course the only thing stopping me is start up money. My disability check is my only income and leaves nothing left for this venture. I have researched what will be needed, how to properly make the candles and have visited a gazillion sites to see that even in a depressed economy, women want their candles.
If this business works well, I plan on donating any excess funds to a close friend and her family. They have 2 very young sons and are trying to fix up their house that they bought as a fixer upper. Unfortunately my friends husband has been out of work for way too long now and any money they come across goes to feeding their children and paying the bills, hoping that they will not lose their house.
